3 New Dolls

h1 Monday, July 10th, 2006

Yesterday and today I started making pixel dolls again! I haven’t done this in a long time, and it was interesting to try new techniques with shading. All of these dolls where made on Adobe Photoshop. These are the first dolls that I have made on it, so there was some trial and error.
Here they are!

I think my favorite part of this doll is her tights and fishnets! Her hair is supposed to look like dreads, but I don’t know if they actually do XP. She is only wearing one shoe. Alas, I am too lazy to do two.

I love the color of her top and skirt! Her hair was done with a done with a new method of mine. I like how it turned out, and it didn’t take too long.

Made this for an avatar. The shirt is based off of this tank I made. The hair is a little bright, though I like it like that. Those fishnet armwarmers took me a while because I had to draw each pixel (no idea how to put in patterns).I plan to make more of these dolls soon!

Swirly Civil War Dress

h1 Monday, July 10th, 2006

Over two days, I made this dress! The skirt doesn’t have as much material as was asked for, but I found it to be gathered enough. I also didn’t make the skirt as long, so that I could just sew the fabric in a tube instead of using panels.

It fits like a dream, though!

I walked around the house after I finished in it until I went to bed. All that fabric is a little hot for the summer, but I may wear it for Halloween. (This is definitely a first! I always wait until just a few days before to scrounge up something),

Pictures will come soon! (It’s in the high 90’s out here, so I don’t want to put it on just yet. )
